Lives & works in a "Wee
1860's Ontario Gothic Revival Cottage"
Alvinston, Ontario, Canada

As a representational artist, with a thirst for contrast. The figures in my paintings are not portraits of the people around me, they are my “figures of speech” that tell a human story.

My goal is to stir an emotion. To involve the viewer, by calling to mind a memory of their own and through that, connect with them.

With a mission to visually point out, preserve and or restore the lost or forgotten Beauty of humankind.

"Daisy paints more realistic, romantic pieces, has a totally different style than her counterparts "  - Nancy.M

"....Time stands still in her paintings as she captures private moments in striking composition. Drama is added through her manipulation of light and colour and intrigue is plentiful through her addition of symbolism. "

- Judith and Norman Alix Gallery

A turning point in my view of the world and art was while travelling in Europe.

As I stood on the same stairs that ancient Romans climbed up and down, I felt connected to them. They reached through time, through the architecture they created, into my life.

I have a strong passion for the history of the human experience, and what we have created along the way.

The media of choice is oils or acrylics. The paintings make a consistent reference to history, people and may include decorative symbols.

I am currently working on a series entitled “Life as a House”. Exploring the impression or feelings of old houses and their history resonate with me, and through which I attempt to convey our connection between the past and present.

My “Life as a House” series is an ongoing group of paintings with many more planned.

Having just arrived in Lambton County I’m very excited to find there are many old houses to explore and continue my work on "Life as a House"
